The RCDSO provided us with guidance on how to distinguish between Straightforward and Complex Implant care, in the Implant Dentistry Guidelines published in 2013. The information in this document was the basis of the first Implant Prosthodontic Continuing Education program hosted by Genesis in 2014. We had the privilege of creating and presenting the required 49 hours of CE that are required by all dentists in Ontario to restore dental implants.

The 2025 draft document circulated amongst the ~11,000 dentists in Ontario this past fall, revisits and expands the list of criteria that define a straightforward and complex implant case.
